there are events that happen on chinese new year, halloween, christmas, and one more date (cant remember it) that offer unique rewards, and theres talk about a new dungeon system being added. Theres not much unique content however the game stays true to the original games. pokemon levels are all brought up/down to level 50, but ev and ivs stay the same. you queue up for a match, and you get matched. this is so that the market isn't flooded with 6x31 iv pokemon, but it does make breeding a lot more costly and time consuming. you basically trade 2 pokemon for one egg without getting the parents back. also, amulet coin and the lucky egg has turned into consumable items, which also adds more things to the economy.īreeding is dumb, but makes sense. its has a pretty good economy, as you can make a lot of money through selling pokemon or their drops. The game as a global trade list (GTL), where you can buy/sell both pokemon and items (that are tradeable). most of the things you get from the cash shop are vanity items, and you can get RP (the premium currency) through the global market people sell vouchers for ingame money. its to balance the game out.Īlthough there is a cash shop, the game is not p2w. if they leave the game or dont fight, the legendary leaves. if they lose, the ownership of the legendary transfers to the victor. Zekrom is for the story, and the other legendaries are more of an event one person can have the legendary at any given time, and they have to accept any pvp battles requested to them. Legendaries aren't permanent you can't catch most of them, except for zekrom, rayquaza, mewtwo, and a couple others.
it can get a bit toxic, but hey its an mmo. It has a good community, with a global chat and helpful people. You could just do a lot of breeding and battle frontier and pvp, but its a little stale. Gotta admit, the endgame is a little lackluster though. It has 4 regions (kanto, Hoenn, sinnoh, and Unova). it has a lot of stuff to do and a big community. With 500 hours into pokemmo, i would go into it.
